Hi, it's nice to meet you.
We're David and Mary, co-founders of Birdie or Die.
It all began as an idea during a family dog walk in late 2023 to raise the stakes of disc golf rounds with a game that offered new levels of challenge, strategy, and variety all wrapped in a disarmingly cute yet deadly theme.

David Strength
As CBO, David handles the disc golf half of Birdie or Die, from creating the card rules to playtesting. He officially became obsessed with disc golf after college in 2014, and rounds became a way to catch up with friends, share some laughs, and throw a few memorable (if mostly lucky) shots. After a decade of amateur experience, he transformed his passion into Birdie or Die to give the disc golf community a new way to kill time with friends and family.

Mary Strength
As CDO, Mary handles the creative half of Birdie or Die, from illustrating the cards to branding. Her background in marketing and brand-building allows an unlikely pairing of disc golf and death to magically work. Mary's introduction to disc golf was receiving a disc golf starter set as a birthday gift from some nerd named David in 2018. They later played a round together. Then got married in 2021. Then started a disc golf company.
